致爱妻

I still remember that National Day
when our story began ten years ago
we met by the arragement of God
how lucky we were to fall in love
you saved me from the loneliness

犹记十年前那个国庆佳节，
上帝安排你闯入我的生活。
坠入爱河，我们多么幸运！
你将我从寂寞中拯救出来。

you had nice looks and deep thoughts
your outer beauty attracted my eyes
and your inner beauty moved my heart
even without any gorgeous ornament
your unique beauty remained the same

不仅容貌姣好思想也深刻，
你的外在美吸引我的视线，
你的内在美打动我的心灵。
纵然没有任何华丽的装饰，
你独特的美丝毫不会减少。

in the beautiful flower gardens
along the bank of the Yangtze river
hand in hand we walked on and on
with our footprints almost everywhere
many heart-to-heart talks we enjoyed
the two hearts almost melted into one
happiness was blooming like a flower

在鸟语花香的美丽花园里，
沿着那涛声阵阵的长江边，
你我手牵着手不停走啊走，
处处留下我们欢快的足迹。
心与心的交流温暖着你我，
两颗心几乎融化成一颗心，
幸福像花儿一样绽放芳香。

three months later we happily got married
we went to Emei Mountain for honeymoon
when we climbed to the peak of mountain
with beautiful snowflakes dancing in the air
we hugged each other tightly with great joy

三个月之后你我喜结良缘。
到美丽的峨嵋山去度蜜月。
当我们最终登临峨眉山顶，
漫天的雪花为我们欢舞着，
你我紧紧相拥任喜悦荡漾。

two years later we had our own baby
a new life started to unfold before us
you had sacrificed so much for this family
without such a good and smart woman
I could not imagine what my life would be

两年后宝宝来到这个世界。
新的生活在你我面前展开。
你为这个家庭牺牲了很多。
没有贤良聪慧的女人持家，
我无法想象生活将会怎样。

you often joke you have two sons
a big one and a small one
both of them need your care
to our son, you are a great mother
to me, you are a beautiful angel

你经常戏说你有两个儿子，
一个大儿子和一个小儿子，
大的小的都需要你的照顾。
对儿子你是个称职的母亲，
对丈夫你是个美丽的天使。

your intuition is often proved right
do you know how much I admire you?
if our family is a boat on the sea
I like to say you are the real steerer
I would like to follow your direction

你的锐利直觉常屡试不爽，
你可知我对你有多么崇拜？
倘使这个家犹如汪洋扁舟，
我明白你才是真正的舵手，
我心甘情愿跟随你的方向。

our life is not always like peaceful water
sometimes our conflicts will break the peace
through quarrels and frank communication
we overcome one problem after another
towards a more harmonious relationship

生活并非总是平静的湖水，
有时你我闹矛盾打破宁静。
经过数次争吵与坦诚交流，
我们克服一个又一个难题，
不断迈向更加和谐的关系。

I am really not a qualified husband
for a better living I should work harder
but I often escape from my responsibility
how hard it is for you to tolerate me
although you have seen me through
you still entertain a little hope for me

我真的算不上称职的丈夫，
我该更努力以求改善生活，
但我总是逃避自己的责任，
我明白你要容忍我有多难。
虽然你早已看穿我的真相，
你依然对我抱有一丝希望。

our ten years of marriage life
only proves you are a good wife
no words can express my gratitude
now, I must make a change for you
for you are a woman I cherish most

十年的婚姻生活转瞬即逝，
只证明了你是一个好妻子，
文字无法表达对你的感激。
如今我必须为你做些改变，
因你才是我最珍爱的女人。

I wish our marriage would last forever
no matter what will happen in our future
you are the woman who means most to me
nobody can replace your special position

希望我们的婚姻天长地久！
无论未来的生活如何变化，
你都将是我最重要的女人，
任何人无法替代你的地位！
