AQIS Clarification of acceptance of fumigation certificates from Hong Kong and China:
Fumigation certificates issued by private companies located in Hong Kong or China for fumigation treatments conducted in China are not accepted by AQIS.
All certificates for fumigation treatments conducted in China must be issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (CIQ SA).
The certificate must have the CIQ logo in the top left corner, and must bear the official stamp of the branch that issued the certificate. No other certificates for fumigation treatments conducted in China are accepted by AQIS.
This has been AQIS’s policy since August 2001 and remains in place until further notice
