NNF 2006/064 PhD survey input required


Roberto is conducting a study on letter of credit usage by Australian exporters to ASEAN and is seeking your input in a number of areas. This survey is one of three being conducted. The other two surveys target the exporters and the banks. Roberto would appreciate your response to this survey as the information gathered forms an important part of his data gathering.



NNF 2006/065 Licencing arrangements


The Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia Inc. (CBFCA) is aware that a number of members have received correspondence from the Import Policy Branch of the Australian Customs Service (Customs) regarding the capacity in which they hold their customs broker licences. As a general proposition, Customs have now indicated that customs brokers can not hold licences in entities which happen to also act as trustees and that steps need to be taken to ensure that the licences are held in entities acceptable to Customs.
