补衣妇坐在路旁
行人走过路
路扬起沙土
补衣妇头巾上是沙土
衣服上是沙土

她的孩子哭了
眼泪又被太阳晒干了
她不知道
只是无声地想着她的家
她的被炮火毁掉的家
无声地给人缝补
让孩子的眼
可怜的眼
瞪着空了的篮子

补衣妇坐在路旁
路一直伸向无限
她给行路人补好袜子
行路人走上了路

A CLOTH-MENDING WOMAN

Sitting by the road
Where people walk by
In a cloud of sand and dust
That cover on the cloth-mending woman’s
Kerchief and dress

She doesn't know
Her child cried
And tears dried in the sun
She's just silently thinking of her house
That was ruined by war fire
And silently mending clothes for people
She doesn't know her child's eyes
The poor eyes
Are staring at the empty basket

Sitting by the road
That leads to no end
The cloth-mending woman mends socks for people
Who then continue their roads again
