That child riding a bamboo stick
With me in my childhood
On the wings of dreams
Taking the bamboo stick for a flying horse……

Clatter, clatter
It is galloping and dashing
On the road, on the battlefield
Neighing loud into the distance

He is a young hero
He is holding high a sword and waving a whip
Shouting loudly and excitedly
Feeling on top of the world

Feeling on top of the world
He is courageous as Caesar
As Alexander
As Kubla Khan……

When reality breaks in, the wings of dreams get lost
Together with the flying horse, the sword and the
whip……
The child is still that child
I am still myself

The bamboo stick is still that bamboo stick
Caesar is still Caesar
Alexander is still Alexander
Kubla Khan is still Kubla Khan……
