You have 3 days free of port charges since the goods become avaliable in both patrick and P&O port.
2006/23 Customs notice has announced an additional day free of storage charges for those containers that are subjected to x-ray examination and are returned after x-ray with less than 24 hours free time remaining before storage commences. The additional free day of storage operates from 1 June 2006 at Patrick Terminals and from 1 August 2006 at P&O Ports Terminals.
While the additional day free of storage charges will certainly be of value, it is not necessary going to provide a complete solution to the problem of storage charges accruing on containers targeted for x-ray examination by Customs. It is necessary to make a time slot booking for all container deliveries, and bookings cannot be made unless containers are available. It can take 2 and sometimes even 3 days to get a time slot booking to pick up some containers. Therefore the additional day free of storage charges may not necessary mean that all containers subjected to x-ray examination will be able to be delivered free of storage charges in future, despite that extra day being available, because of the time slot booking system.
Customs has arrangements in place in Adelaide to provide the normal 3 full days free of storage charges for containers that have been subjected to x-ray, after those containers are returned to the wharf or depot. _________________ 澳洲阳光报关公司
