Brass Kite In The Thunderstorm
Like a rebel against an ocean of laws so flawful,
Like a soldier killing silver birds and got stained white.
Like in a tug-of-war with destiny invisible and awful,
She seized the metal wire underneath the brass kite.

She heard electric currents crashing like fighting bulls over her head,
Like a reflection of her desperate gait at the velocity of sound.
Holding the fuse to an entire universe’s lightning of black and red,
She trampled down exquisite villas and graves like a wild hound.

She is a UFO-shaped candle within which the wire as a wick sealed,
It seduced rumbling energies and powers to strike at this unyielding racer.
Minding not whether it’s burned with meteors or caught in magnetic field,
She was like a boat-tracker with a towrope upon his scarred shoulder.

A roar of hers would whip up explosions in corners of the sky,
A slip of her hand would result in loss of grip of a billion fatal bolts.
Grinding every jungle and ridge with Wellington boots as her storms by,
She tamed the unbreakable fireworks above like boisterous colts.

Whether on the other end of the tunnel of darkness is tomorrow?
Anyway she no longer feared hypocritical sunshine ahead.
Maybe she could from a lightning rod some immortality borrow,
And stand in the wild where no more shooting stars shed.


筝衅雷霆
像面对汪洋般浩荡的苛政揭竿而起，
像射杀银鸟的兵士遍体血迹纵横。
像一场与可敬畏命运的拉锯战，
她紧攥着黄铜风筝的火信子。

千仞之上的头顶的电流相互冲击，犹如公牛相搏，
如同她声速的步伐在天幕上的特写。
当她步如流星踏平宫阙与陵墓，
整个宇宙腥红和漆黑的电光在这引线上一触即发。

她是一只飞碟状的蜡烛，这根铁缆便是烛芯，
将轰鸣的能量和威势导向这孜孜不倦的奔跑者。
像纤绳嵌进了肉肩和生命的船夫，
她无暇顾及风筝是否被流星点燃，被磁场禁锢。

一声呐喊会炸起满天的硝烟，
一失手亿万道霹雳将群龙无首的飞散。
她的威灵顿长靴碾过丛林和山脊，
将烈马般桀骜的焰火光电驯服。

暗夜的隧道是否通往所谓的未来？
而她已不再惧怕粉墨登场的骤晴。
姑且借来避雷针亘古的表情，
然后肃立在没有流星的旷野。

在英語格律詩中押韻，韻字重音位置上的元音及其後的輔音（如有的話）必須相同。比如宜於和racer押韻的字有：acer, bracer, lacer, pacer, raysor, spacer, tracer, eraser等。宜於和shoulder押韻的字有：bolder, boulder, colder, folder, older, beholder等。
如果元音不同而後面的輔音相同則稱為近韻（如moon和rain，move和love便是）
