《妈妈，快抓紧我的手》 Quick to grasp my hand, Mum

孩子 My son,
快抓紧妈妈的手 Be quick to get my hand.
去天堂的路 For leading to Heaven is the road
太黑了 So dark that
妈妈怕你 Mum is worrying about you
碰了头 To tumble or to hurt the head.
快 Be quick
抓紧妈妈的手 To get mum’s hand
让妈妈陪你走 And let me keep your company.

妈妈 Mum,
怕 I’m afraid that
天堂的路 The roads in heaven are
太黑 Too dark to see your hand.
我看不见你的手
自从 Ever since the walls broke down
倒塌的墙
把阳光夺走 And took away the sunshine
我再也看不见 I have never seen you any more
你柔情的眸 And your kind pupil of eye

孩子 My son,
你走吧 Go ahead!
前面的路 On the way in front
再也没有忧愁 There will be no sadness
没有读不完的课本 Nor endless textbooks to read,
和爸爸的拳头 Nor Father’s fist.
你要记住 Do keep in mind, please,
我和爸爸的摸样 The appearance of mine and dad’s
来生还要一起走 So as to go together in future life

妈妈 Mum , don’t worry
别担忧
天堂的路有些挤 On the way to Heaven so crowded
有很多同学朋友 There're lots of mates and friends.
我们说 So we say,
不哭 Don’t cry any more.
哪一个人的妈妈都是我们的妈妈 Anyone’s mother is ours
哪一个孩子都是妈妈的孩子 And any children are mothers’.
没有我的日子 In the following days without me,
你把爱给活的孩子吧 Give love to kids alive, please.

妈妈 Mum, don’t cry.
你别哭
泪光照亮不了 The light of tears lightens not
我们的路 Our way ahead.
让我们自己 Let us go by ourselves
慢慢的走 And go forward slowly.
妈妈 Dear Mum,
我会记住你和爸爸的模样 I will remember you and daddy
记住我们的约定 And remember our promise:
来生一起走 Let’s go together in the eternity.
