Cleanse

the
night, a canvas sprayed by ink.
I wash
it with my dark hands,
failing
to disinter my jasmine feeling.
Above
the tree tips,
between
gray and dark,
I rub it
hard—
The
emerging star light
is too
weak to sparkle.
Along
the dim sky's rim,
an angel
rinses her moonlight dress;
I,
sleepless,
bleach
time - fleeting shadow - -
no trace
returns.
