Change Control

AWIE believes documentation change control is essential to continued quality and reliability. Accordingly, once a product is qualified for production and released, the supplier cannot change the part/product, process, or location of manufacture without written approval from AWIE. Should the supplier wish to make changes, or foresee the need for changes due to capacity, material supply or process improvement goals, AWIE's Purchasing Department must be contacted so that the potential impact can be explored and defined together.

CHANGE IN MANUFACTURING PROCESSES OR LOCATION

In the event the supplier intends to change the location of manufacture of any product or alter the manufacturing process of any product, the supplier shall provide 6 months prior written notice to AWIE. This includes subcontracting existing processes. All changes must be approved by AWIE in writing.

NOTIFICATION OF PRODUCT DISCONTINUANCE

Suppliers shall provide AWIE at least 12 months prior written notice of their intent to discontinue manufacture and/or support of any product. Prior to discontinuance the supplier shall fulfill any and all purchase orders placed for such product pursuant to the terms of the purchase order. On or immediately prior to the actual date of discontinuance of such product, AWIE shall have the right to make a one-time purchase of product for phased delivery over the succeeding 12 months.
