Contentment


It's a small world I live in...
The miles I travel are few,
With always familiar faces
And a sameness each day in my view.

I know each highway and byway
And every valley and hill,
The landmarks that down through the ages
Are standing staunch and still.

And every tree has its place,
And I know each country lane,
Where each mailbox on the corner
Bears a familiar name.

Yes,it's a small would I live in ,
But my vision reaches the sky,
And in fancy I've seen distant places
That seem real as time passes by.

Yes, mine is a simple and beautiful would,
And mine is a lucky star,
And I am contented and happy to live
In my would with things as they are.



满足

我住在一个小小世界里
我游历过的路程很短，
每天我见到的总是
熟悉的面孔和同样的事物．

我熟悉每一条大道和路旁
每一个山谷和岗峦，
经过多少岁月的印记
仍旧静静的屹立着．

每棵树有着自己的定位，
我通晓村中每一条小径，
路拐角上的邮筒
上面写着熟悉的名称．

是的，我住在一个小世界，
但我的幻想远于天际，
在想像中我见到了遥远的地方
纵使时间经过许久，他仍然是很真切．

是的，我的世界是一个纯朴而美丽的小世界，
福星照着我的世界
我照事物本来的样子
满足而快乐地活在我的世界．
